University Grants Commission, New Delhi, Conduct National Eligibility Test(NET) on June 30th, 2013. Lakh of Candidates are attend this throughout Country. Candidates qualifying for the award of Junior Research Fellowship will be eligible to receive fellowship of UGC under various schemes, subject to their finding placement in universities/IITs/institutions. The validity period of the offer is two years w.e.f. the date of issue of JRF Award Letter. In case the candidates who have already joined M.Phil/Ph.D., the date of commencement of fellowship shall be from the date of declaration of NET result or date of their joining, whichever is later. Human Resource Development Group, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research(CSIR) Conduct National Eligibility Test on June 23rd, 2013. CSIR will hold the Joint CSIR-UGC Test on 23rd June, 2013 for determining the eligibility of the Indian National candidates for the award of Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) NET and for determining eligibility for appointment of Lecturers (NET) in certain subject areas falling under the faculty of Science & Technology. The award of Junior Research Fellowship (NET) to the successful eligible candidates will depend on their finding admission/placement in a university/ national laboratory/ institution of higher learning and research, as applicable.
A candidate may apply either for ‘JRF’ OR for ‘Lectureship (LS) only’ He/she may indicate preference in the OMR Application Form/Online Application, as the case may be. CSIR may consider candidates applying for ‘JRF’ or ‘Lectureship only” depending on number of fellowships available & performance in the test subject to the condition that they fulfill the laid down eligibility criterion . If a candidate is found to be over-age for JRF (NET) will automatically be considered for Lectureship (NET) only.
The UGC NET candidates are required to obtain following minimum marks separately in Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III as given below:
